Syria is home to some of the oldest and culturally rich places in the world.
The country has been under many empires, leaving a lot of diversity in the architecture and the designs that are currently used as cultural typologies. Unfortunately, Syria's rich cultural history is at risk of being a victim of the civil war. The Syrian Refugees Center is a self-sufficient Syrian Refugee Hostel providing refugees to rebuild what they have lost from the definition of home, culture, and sense of belonging. The hostel will welcome refugees in a temporary program to encourage healing and help refugees readjust to a new way of life and to become self-dependent.
